Marco Rubio Pauses Speech for Water Break
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., takes a sip in the middle of his GOP response to President Obama’s 2013 State of the Union address.
Rubio’s 2013 rebuttal to President Barack Obama’s inauguration was overshadowed when he took a break from his speech to drink water, all without breaking eye contact with the camera in front of him.
Individuals close to the Florida senator said drinking water during speeches was a habitual tick that Rubio has had since his time in the Florida state legislature.
During the 2016 campaign, Trump mocked him, miming drinking from his water bottle.
